With Task Scheduler, you can also create multiple Events that will run at different times. You can write a reminder and set it to appear on the screen on a specific date. You can also write an email and specify when exactly to send it automatically. Or, if you want, you can set some programs to run at a specific time.
You choose what suits you best, and below are instructions for setting the program to run at a specific time.
- Open 'Start' -> 'All Programs' -> 'Accessories' -> 'System Tools' -> 'Task Scheduler' (or 'Scheduled Tasks' for Win XP)
- Click 'Create Basic Task...'
- Enter the Name and Description of the Action
- Select the time interval for repeating the Action
- Enter the date and exact time when you want the Action to take place
- Choose Action (Start program, Send an email, Display notifications - reminder), I will take as an example "Start a program"
- Select the program you want to run (Browse...)
- Click Next and you will see the final settings. Now just press Finish again and that's it.
