In one of the last posts I wrote how to find the desired Font from an image, but what about the whole text? There are other tools for this.
In order not to manually copy the entire text from an image, one site will do it for you - OCR.
What is OCR?
This is one site where you can upload the image you want to extract text from completely free of charge, and then save that text in TXT, DOC, and XLS format.
Site features:
- Since everything is free, the site has limited the image size to 4MB, but you can also upload up to 15 images in one hour. These restrictions are not so important unless you are translating the whole book.
- As for file extensions, you can upload JPG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, GIF and convert them to Word, Text, Excel, PDF, and Html formats.
- Another option is to choose the language in which the text is written. Among the 32 languages is Serbian.
How to convert an image to text?
When you open the site, at the bottom you will see a button that says "Select file" or "Browse", insert an image and click "Upload".
Now select the language in which the text is written on the right and then the format in which you want to save the text. If you have selected everything, click "Recognize".
Wait a few seconds and below you will see the text from the image that you can copy or download in the desired format.
