The Xperia Z3 model appeared on the market in October, some 5 months after its predecessor Z2. Like its predecessor, the Z3 has superior workmanship with aluminum parts . The proximity sensor is found in almost all smartphones and has several uses. He is in charge, among other things, of disabling touches on the screen and turning it off during a call. It was the main application of this sensor in the beginning, and today it is used in many ways. For example, newer phones have an auto-dial option when you hold the phone to your ear while the contact is open, or while reading a message. Many applications use this sensor, e.g. push-up applications where the sensor has the role of counting push-ups by putting the phone under your head and when you do the push-up you get closer to the sensor and it registers it and increases the number by one. Some applications use this sensor to register if the phone is in your pocket and thus prevent accidental unlocking of the phone.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is short-range wireless communication technology. NFC can be viewed as WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G… but the difference is that it works on a different frequency and has a different principle of power and data exchange.

You can buy anything and everything online, but most don't even know what you can buy for $ 5 . There are a lot of interesting and useful gadgets for phones as well as for computers, laptops, tablets… I personally bought a lot of these little things, so I decided to recommend some in this article.

In the last few days, the main news in the Android world is the  Stagefright exploit. This flaw allows the attacker to send the infected file via MMS which is automatically downloaded to the victim's phone. There is a plugin that can partially reveal this to you. Nothing special, it's a Chrome extension called " Photo Zoom ". What does he actually do? Enlarges the image you hover over by loading the source address of the image . How can it help? Clickbait posts often "trick" users into clicking with an image (in addition to terrible headlines). They place those pictures so that only a part of them is visible on the Facebook wall and just enough to interest your potential. If you want to see the whole thing, you have to click on the link, which is their goal.

YIFY is in the world if not the most popular site with Torrent movies are of excellent quality. They release the latest, and older, movies in HD that weigh more than 700MB for 720p, or about 1.5GB for the 1080p version. The question is: how do they get the latest movies in HD?

Xiaomi has launched the Mi TV 2 with a diagonal of 49 inches and 4k resolution , which runs on the Android-based MIUI operating system. This Smart TV also has great features, and some of them are a quad-core 1.45GHz processor,  2GB DDR3 RAM, Mali-450 MP4 4 + 2-core graphics processor.

One small script, a simple .zip file that is enough to install and your Android device will work noticeably faster and the battery will last longer. There are several scripts like this (which I know about), so I will present them all here. Note : ROOT is required to install any Mod!

If you have an Android device that has LED notification lights , this app will probably be interesting to you, especially if you like listening to music. The Led Music Effect app uses an LED light (or notifications) as a light effect for the music you are currently listening to on your device. The lamp lights up following the music, and in color, and you can adjust the colors in the application itself.

An external battery (power bank) has become an almost indispensable gadget for everyone who uses their smart devices every day. We know how fast the battery drains and it is always good to have a backup power supply. Power Bank is a great solution.

When we talk about smart devices, especially phones, we have too many choices. But we can divide customers into 2 big groups: those who buy the device because of the brand, and those who buy it because of the specifications. Some people like to have all the devices from their favorite manufacturer, even if they take out a loan to buy what is missing in the collection. " Superfish " is an adware program with a major security flaw, which was found pre-installed on some Lenovo laptops. However, it's not just the users of these computers who are at risk, this program is "running" through the installation of other programs, so many other Windows computers are also at risk.

Nokia HERE is an offline (and online) navigation app for Android devices, and it's also free. So far we have only been able to install the  Beta version , and from now on the full version where we have a lot of improvements:

You know those " click bait " posts with headlines like "..you won't believe what happened.." or "..what happened next was shocking..." and the like? Well, soon you won't see them anymore ! Facebook has introduced an option where you can report such a post. Over time, their algorithm will become "smarter" and will automatically remove such posts from the News Feed. Update 2019 : their algorithm did become "smarter" as they announced, but they definitely still need the help of users in detecting such posts! Such announcements are also called " clickbait " because they try to "fish" as many users as possible to click, and when they enter there is nothing clever or it is some kind of promotion, deception, and the like.
