The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.
One of the most sought-after in Serbia are certainly experts in information technology, and the interlocutors of "Panorama" say that after graduation, a job can be found quickly and easily. Currently, there are only 686 people with a degree in IT in the labor office, while, say, about 7,000 economists are waiting for a job.
Prof. Miodrag P., Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, also confirms that IT graduates are quickly recruited. He says that his students get jobs very easily, especially those who were diligent during their studies.
- "They left good contacts in an internship in a company, which provided them with a job after graduation. Smaller companies have almost constant open competitions and are looking for new engineers, and those who were a little more valuable during their studies, can find a job immediately after graduation "- says prof. Miodrag.
He also adds that the education of IT professionals acquired at our faculties is the same as at those in the European Union and that we are keeping pace with the world in this regard.
- "Today, in the curriculum, there is not too much difference between private and state faculties. The only one that can exist is in the amount of knowledge required in the exam," Miodrag notes.
This is confirmed by prof. Dr. Valentino Kuleta is an expert in the field of information technology.
- The best faculties and colleges, which in this program have some of the specializations for information technology, also have partnerships with large companies or large foreign universities, and students have the opportunity to gain knowledge that can be immediately applied in practice. Of course, vocational colleges and universities are the solutions for young people who have just or recently graduated from high school. Unfortunately, they make up a smaller part of the population who are looking for quality IT education - says Dr. Kuleta.
However, he gives less advantage to private higher education institutions because, as he says, they conceptualize their work so that they can quickly adjust their programs, ie the way of performing exercises and teaching to the real needs of students and the market.
- Private institutions more often organize conferences and lectures on new technologies and achievements in the field of IT, than is the case with state institutions - adds Kuleta.
With this diploma, the job is found much faster. This is confirmed by the data of the National Employment Service. According to the latest data, there are 686 information technology experts with a university degree at the labor office, who have been waiting for a job for an average of 198 years. With a high school diploma, there are currently 1,011 info experts on the bureau. the technology of the VI degree, whose average length of job search is 2.4 years.
- Comparing the number of persons on the records and the number of vacancies in the registered services, the defeat for these staff is good and they are hiring quickly. only from the beginning of the year until now, 208 IT experts with VII degrees and 154 IT experts with VI degrees have been employed.
