Google has announced that it will open an office in Zagreb in June, which will expand the company's business to the region of Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia.
By opening this office, which will be headed by Joško Mrndže, Google wants to improve the product offer, provide better search results, and more effective advertising solutions for customers and partners in the Adriatic region.
The move is in line with Google's strategy of actively helping individuals and companies to benefit from the development of the Internet.
After a limited presence in Serbia and the region in previous years, the Zagreb office will directly offer local support to advertisers and enable them to profit from the development of the digital economy.
The director of the office, Joško Mrndže, stated that Internet users in the region are becoming more demanding, but also more active in their online engagement.
"The company is therefore striving to offer the best innovative online tools in the local language," Mrndze said, adding that Google has recognized the great opportunities offered to local companies due to its growing online presence, and therefore seeks to help realize those opportunities.
Fifteen products intended for individuals and companies in the markets of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia have already been adapted to local needs by Google.
These include Google Apps, Google Maps, Google Translate, and other products designed to make business easier, and the company's intention is to further expand support and offerings to local companies, the statement said.
