During Ubisoft’s presentation at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo, this French publisher officially announced the sequel to the Far Cry series.
Simply named Far Cry 3, this game is currently under development and is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Ubisoft Shanghai and Massive Entertainment, who are also currently working on Assassin's Creed: Revelations. According to the current plans of the publisher, this game will appear on the market for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC during the next year. The news of the third sequel to the Far Cry series is not surprising since the previous version, Far Cry 2, sold more than a million copies.
