Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

7 Utilities for your computer

7 Utilities for your computer

Lately, some new programs of various purposes and possibilities have been appearing almost every day. However, in addition to all these invocations, we somehow use the older ones that are more familiar to us. This is exactly the kind of program I am presenting to you today.

In the first place, I would put, if we can say, the most important program - Anti-virus. (AV)

- There are many anti-virus programs, and you may only know about some such as. AVG, Avira, NOD32, Komodo… Each is good in its own way, and each has some options and possibilities that some others do not and vice versa. How to choose the right AV? It is a matter of trust on the part of the user. If you have tried several anti-viruses, you were most impressed by the AV that best protects your computer. You will probably use this AV all the time until you come across a better one. I wrote about anti-virus solutions in one of the previous articles, so take a look.

Elsewhere, also one of the more important programs, I would put a computer cleaning program.

- There are also a lot of these programs and the choice of the best is very difficult, so we choose the one that we know does its job best. I personally only use 2: CCleaner and TuneUp Utilities. Such programs are used for daily computer cleaning, unlike AV, which only removes viruses, malware, etc.

The third place is reserved for players.

- It is almost impossible to imagine a day on the computer without music or a movie. The programs are varied and it is difficult to choose one for everyone. I personally use AIMP3 for music purely out of habit and ease of use, and I can’t even dismiss the sound quality. For movies I use KMplayer which can play all kinds of video formats, and I am very satisfied.

Browsers take fourth place.

- The very mention of the Internet is associated with browsers. The last few months have been important in the "race" of browsers, as you know, between Firefox, ChromeIE9, and Opera. I use all three, more precisely, Chrome the most and Firefox and IE9 sometimes. Not to stretch the better story, you judge.

We have reached the fifth place. It is occupied by Skype.

- Free calls? Sounds great! Well, this program allows you to do that. Free phone calls from all over the world, video calls, sending files, etc. All this is possible with the help of Skype. If you haven’t tried this great program yet, I think it’s time. You can download it from this link.

Torrent holds sixth place.

- The best program for downloading large (and small) files from the Internet. The working principle of Torrent is simple - sharing. There are a lot of torrent clients, and the most famous are Bit torrent, uTorrent, Vuze... I use uTorrent, but that doesn't mean it's the best.

And in seventh place, I would put Paint.net

- This small, very useful, and functional, program will process images like a pro. I caricatured it a bit like a "professional", but the program is definitely great for working with pictures. Similar to MS paint, this program offers us a handful of additional and useful options, such as e.g. work with layers. If you need fast and easy image processing, you have found the right program for it. The program comes in an installation of only 3.5MB, and you can download it from this link.

This list of programs can go on indefinitely, but I have listed only, in my opinion, the most important ones. In one of the next posts, I will pay attention to some lesser-known programs.

What is GLONASS?

If you've looked at the detailed specification of an Android or GPS device, you may have seen another term next to the GPS tag and didn't know exactly what it represents. Well,  GLONASS is a global navigation system that was started by the USSR in 1976, so this project could be taken over by Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

X96 Mini Android TV Box Review

I have already written an article about buying an Android TV Box for up to 30 euros, and now I am writing about one such device - the X96 Mini TV Box . There is not much to say about this device, its price is around 25 euros, it is an Android TV Box like any other, which means that it is powered by an Android system. Since I wrote about it in the previous article, I will not repeat myself. These cheaper TV Box devices differ mainly only in the chip, amount of RAM, and ROM memory. In the previous article, I wrote about what to pay attention to when choosing, and I chose this device that way.
