Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

5 interesting sites (part 2)

5 interesting sites (part 2)

In one of the last posts, I compiled a list of 5 sites that I found interesting and that you will like. In this post, I made a list of 5 more interesting sites that I "came across" in this short time.

1. Giveaway of the Day

I put this site at the very top of the list. Why? Because I really liked what they offered - licensed programs. Yes, that's right, programs with a one-year license. Here you will not find professional programs such as Photoshop, Camtasia… but some smaller ones whose license is even cheaper. You should also know that there is one program a day, so the next day you will not be able to download the one that is available today.

2. Fsymbols

If you like to post statuses on Facebook and want them to be as beautiful as possible, you can "decorate" them with some symbols, thumbnails, smileys,… On this site, you can find all the symbols that are visible on Facebook, as well as whole pictures made of signs and more. The list is really long to write here, so visit the site and find for yourself what you need.

3. Let Google search for you

The name of the site says it all, Google will search for a term instead of you. This has more of a funny side. Surely at least 20 of them will write "You can find me this, you can ..." and ask yourself "do they know about Google?". Well, if you're tired of this, you can joke with your friends. Simply type the search word you want in the big box and you will get one link (example), copy it to a friend and Google will find that word for it. ;)

4. Filehorse

For fans of various programs, I recommend this site. On it, you can find every program that is used every day. You can also monitor any program updates. The site features a really diverse set of programs, as well as a very simple and clear interface.

5. Worldometers

And in fifth place, but no less important, is the site Worldometers. Here you can follow the statistics on the world's population, economy, society, natural environment, food, and water… the list is quite long. I have written only the categories, and in each, there are at least 5 more sub-categories. All statistics are updated in real-time, which makes this site interesting.

SIM card sizes (Mini, Micro, Nano) - explanation

Many users still complain about the size of SIM (subscriber identification module) cards. Which one goes on the phone? Can it be shortened? Can a smaller one into a larger slot? Although we are slowly switching to eSIM (more on this in this article ), we still use classic SIM cards. Newer phones usually require a Nano sizes, but operators issue SIM cards in all sizes. More precisely, now SIM cards are made so that the user can choose the size immediately, and later change it if necessary. More on that at the end of the article.

What should you check before buying a used phone?

If you buy a used phone from an unknown person, or even from a known person, you must always check the phone for any damage - visible or hidden. But what all needs to be checked? How? That is exactly what I am writing in this article!

Google offline maps - instructions

Google has recently added several new features to its maps, including Offline maps and turn-by-turn navigation. It was these two options that were missing so that Google Maps  that could be used as a standalone offline navigation app.

The difference between Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid sleep options

What is the difference between regular Sleep mode and Hybrid sleep mode? And what is Hibernate ? I will try to explain in the simplest way possible so that everyone understands nicely. 1. Sleep When you select Sleep mode , all components of the computer except RAM are shut down to store data. So, if you do something on the computer and press Sleep, the computer shuts down and everything you did (left open windows, documents, etc.) is stored in RAM.
