Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Windows 8 integrates Adobe Flash

Windows 8 integrates Adobe Flash

Internet Explorer 10 within the Windows 8 operating system will include an integrated version of Adobe Flash, while the Metro-based browser will feature support for the use of Flash on a limited number of Web sites.

When it comes to the Windows 8 operating system, Microsoft's browser will be available in two versions:

  • a traditional desktop browser with full support for plugins and extensions,
  • as well as a new Metro-based browser for which plugins will not be necessary.

In addition, the browser will feature an integrated version of Adobe Flash, and because it is integrated, it will not be treated as a plugin. However, you should take into account the fact that Microsoft will limit the use of Flash in the Metro-based browser to those Web sites that are on the list of approved sites.

The list implies a combination of domains:

  • video sites such as Hulu, YouTube, and Vimeo,
  • sites such as CNN, BBC, and Wired,
  • as well as a large number of entertainment and gaming sites such as Facebook and Zynga.

Flash-based interactive content on these sites will work within the Metro-based browser. Flash content on other sites will require the use of a desktop browser.

Flash is still a very productive tool for creating rich, interactive Web content, and Adobe wants to keep it usable, at least until the moment when development tools enable a full transition to HTML5.

If the company decides on this transition earlier, then Flash must be usable on Windows 8. Of course, Flash is not the only plugin technology used to provide streaming video and rich interactive content. Microsoft's Silverlight is also used for the same thing, so the question arises, will Microsoft create an integrated version of Silverlight like they did with Flash?

For now, the answer to that question is not known, but it can be concluded - one of the websites that are on the list of Flash-approved sites is Netflix, and this is very interesting since Netflix does not actually use Flash for streaming media content, but uses Silverlight.

Mobile Browsers

The Internet on mobile devices is becoming more popular and has more and more users. As mobile internet expands, so do mobile browsers. Although the devices themselves already have built-in basic internet browsers, new browsers are constantly appearing. The reason is that each of the programs brings something new and useful. For example, Opera Mini is most popular on older phone models that use Java applications, while on Android platforms Chrome , Firefox ,  Dolphin , and xScope are more represented.

Sony Xperia Z5 Dual Sim review [video + images]

The Xperia Z5 is another great flagship model from the Z family of devices that Sony launched in September this year, about a month ago. The case design is great . The side edges are slightly curved to make the phone fit better in the hand, and the back of the device has a fine finish so there are no glare and fingerprints.
