Skype 5.8 for Windows has come out of the Beta phase

Just under three months ago, a beta version of the popular Skype software was introduced featuring many new features.

The latest update for this popular VoIP tool has led to the new version bearing the 5.8 designations, finalizing some of the features that were available as part of the beta version but also adding some new options.

Certain modifications have been provided regarding the quality of video calls, and it is now possible to access Facebook contacts via Skype, but video calls and audio chats with Facebook friends are also possible.

The new version also provides Push to Talk technology.
