Beware of Facebook malware scams

Beware of Facebook malware scams

A worrying number of Facebook users are exchanging a link that leads to a fake CNN page with information that the United States has attacked Iran and Saudi Arabia, according to an official statement from the security company Sophos.

If users who follow the link click to watch a video that allegedly contains a report on this attack, they are required to update their Adobe Flash player via a pop-up window that largely resembles a legitimate one. Those who accept the installation will unknowingly install the malware on their computers.

Three hours after this scam appeared, more than 60,000 users followed the link to the fake CNN page.

You cannot change this number with the operator, but you can temporarily change it on your device. It allows the operator to accurately identify your device and thus enable/disable network services. Also, you can use the possibility of changing the IMEI number, at least for a short time, if you know exactly what you want, but I leave those ideas to you because this is an educational article.
