Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Windows Defender achieved the best test results

Windows Defender achieved the best test results

Whenever we talk about anti-virus Windows Defender we never even take it into consideration. He always had the worst protection and that is why the internet is full of jokes about him.

An independent computer and phone software testing company, AV-TEST GmbH has released results for June, with Windows Defender (now Windows Security) at the top.

Their results are divided into three categories: protection, performance, and ease of use. Grades are awarded for each category individually, ranging from 1 to 6 in increments of 0.5.

If you look at their table, with results for June, you can see that only 4 anti-viruses have a maximum score of 6/6/6: Windows Defender, F-SECURE Safe 17, Norton Security 22.17, and Kaspersky Internet Security 19.0

Their tests are very serious and rigorous, mostly "worst-case" tests. That is, the tests simulate the worst-case scenario that could befall the average computer user.

Microsoft has improved its security tool and managed to bring it to the very top where Kaspersky, Norton, and F-Secure are. All three anti-viruses pay a lot, while Windows Defender comes with Windows for free.

However, indeed, Windows Defender has not always been so good, as you can see in the history of tests. Microsoft has significantly improved it lately, and perhaps the biggest innovation is the introduction of artificial intelligence.

And now someone would ask the question "Is Windows Defender enough for us?" In short - probably not.

In addition to standard protection, third-party anti-viruses offer additional options, some of which are free and some not, such as file destruction, WiFi protection, scanning emails and links, VPN… Windows Defender does not have these additional options that mean a lot to users. If you don't need these additional options - then whatnot, Defender will be enough for you.

SIM card sizes (Mini, Micro, Nano) - explanation

Many users still complain about the size of SIM (subscriber identification module) cards. Which one goes on the phone? Can it be shortened? Can a smaller one into a larger slot? Although we are slowly switching to eSIM (more on this in this article ), we still use classic SIM cards. Newer phones usually require a Nano sizes, but operators issue SIM cards in all sizes. More precisely, now SIM cards are made so that the user can choose the size immediately, and later change it if necessary. More on that at the end of the article.

What should you check before buying a used phone?

The difference between Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid sleep options

What is the difference between regular Sleep mode and Hybrid sleep mode? And what is Hibernate ? I will try to explain in the simplest way possible so that everyone understands nicely. 1. Sleep When you select Sleep mode , all components of the computer except RAM are shut down to store data. So, if you do something on the computer and press Sleep, the computer shuts down and everything you did (left open windows, documents, etc.) is stored in RAM.
