If you're planning to upgrade your computer and don't know exactly what to do, consider an SSD. Why? Because HDD is a bottleneck in most cases (check it out for yourself) when it comes to performance. By investing in an SSD, you will get the biggest increase in performance in the least amount of money, and you only need to change one component, and that is very easy and fast.
For example, if you have a laptop with an i3 processor, a graphics GTX 750, 4 + GB of RAM at 1600 MHz and it works slowly again, the chances are high that the laptop has an HDD at 5400 RPM. This slows down a lot, which you probably know yourself if you have such a laptop. Simply installing the SSD solves every problem with laptops and after that, you will see that it makes no sense to use the HDD.
In the image below you can see Desktop Worldbench results for the Toshiba Satellite P75-A7200 laptop with 7200 RPM HDD and then with 840 EVO SSD (more = better). You can read the rest here.
If you don't know if your laptop can accept SSDs, check first. I wrote an article on how and where to check what you can upgrade your computer with, so read the article HERE.
When it comes to desktops, the situation is similar, only you are more likely to have an HDD at 7200 RPM, which is a slightly better situation. But, here too, it helps a lot when you replace that HDD with an SSD. When I say replace, I mean to use it for the operating system, and you can definitely leave the HDD and use it for data storage.
The main reasons why some do not want to take SSDs are: they have heard that they last shorter and that their capacity is small. First of all, the average SSD user will last longer than the computer itself, which I wrote about and MUST read. And secondly, the capacity is smaller, but 250 GB will be enough for the system and all the necessary applications. Of course, as I said, you can leave the HDD next to store files. Of course, even when using the HDD for the system, there is no need to set aside more than 250GB.
Price?
If you want to buy an SSD and stay calm, my personal suggestion is the Samsung EVO 850 250GB. If you are looking for tests online HDD Vs. SSDs you will often come across just this SSD. This is my suggestion because this model is the best price/capacity/quality/speed ratio, it is still produced by Samsung, and you still have a 3-year warranty. Its price with us at the moment (October 2017) is around 100 euros - I found the cheapest online for 12,233 RSD. And I personally have that SSD and I am very satisfied.
It may seem like a lot of 100 euros, but just think about what speed increase you will get for that money. You don't have any other component for that money that will give you such an increase in speed. If you want to see for yourself with these tests - LINK. However, it is best to test yourself working on a computer with an HDD and working on the same computer with an SSD. If tests aren't enough for you, here's a video.
