Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Speed Test: Galaxy Note 8 vs. iPhone 8 Plus

This year, like every previous year, Apple and Samsung introduced their new flagship phones: the Note 8 and iPhone 8 (Plus). Since these are two rival phones this year, various comparisons follow on blogs, and Youtube channels, forums… But, the most important thing for the end-user is the speed of work. For these purposes, PhoneBuff conducts speed tests in real conditions, because specifications on paper are one thing, and work in practice is another. So they did a speed test for these two phones.

Benchmark tests are a good indicator of the performance of the device, but sometimes a higher number does not mean faster work on the phone in everyday situations. The results of this type of test are the most accurate because it tests the operation of the phone in real conditions, as would the average user.

PhoneBuff speed test consists of two phases:

  1. Opening applications in a row for the first time
  2. Open the same applications from the cache (RAM)

In this way, we can see how each phone behaves in everyday work, how quickly it opens applications for the first time, and how quickly it can open the next time. In this case, we can conclude that the first round was uncertain until the very end, but in the second round, Note 8 showed significantly better results.

The results:

  1. First round: iPhone - 1:27, Note 8 - 1:30
  2. Second round: iPhone - 2:07, Note 8 - 2:01

Keep in mind that Apple makes both the iPhone and iOS systems for it, while the Galaxy Note is made by one company and the Android system by another. Nevertheless, the Note 8 wins.

To click on the post or not?

Recently, Facebook has been flooded with " click bait " posts, and sometimes you don't know if there is something really useful behind that post or if it's just collecting clicks. There is a plugin that can partially reveal this to you. Nothing special, it's a Chrome extension called " Photo Zoom ". What does he actually do? Enlarges the image you hover over by loading the source address of the image . How can it help? Clickbait posts often "trick" users into clicking with an image (in addition to terrible headlines). They place those pictures so that only a part of them is visible on the Facebook wall and just enough to interest your potential. If you want to see the whole thing, you have to click on the link, which is their goal.

The first Lion update

Deleted photos from Facebook are still available

How to make a "3 steps" page

Many ask me "How do I put 3 steps on a Facebook page?" So I decided to make a short guide for that. If someone doesn't know what " 3 steps " are: These are the pages where you have to like first, share the page, and finally see the link . Now you can do it too, very easily!
