Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

What are Flagship Android phones?

What are Flagship Android phones?

Maybe you've heard from someone, or maybe just on this blog, about the word "Flagship" (in Serbian: flagship) phone, and you don't quite understand what that means. I searched 1200+ posts on this blog and realized that I did not write an article about what Flagship phones are, and I mention them in the texts.

First of all, it is important to note that this term originated a long time ago and has nothing to do with technology, least of all with telephones. Namely, "Flagship" is what the name says - a ship with a flag. That is, it is the strongest, fastest, most modern ship in the fleet that carries the flag and always goes forward - Wiki.

Knowing this, companies have adopted this term to describe the best phone they can offer. So, a phone that the company is especially proud of and singles out as the primary device for a while (usually a year). However, here too there is a question about what defines a flagship phone, and we have a few answers.

1. The best device the company has to offer

This would be both the clearest and best definition for Flagship phones as they are the easiest to distinguish from the others. But, this is not always the case, the company may decide to carry the title with a phone that has lower specifications than someone else. So the Flagship phone can also be the one that the company sells best. The only thing that matters is that this model is an improvement over the previous one. And yet, the company can make one complete phone that will have everything the user needs (good CPU, plenty of RAM, memory, various sensors, good screen… all-in-one), even if it doesn't sell the best and it does not have the best specifications, and to declare it a Flagship phone. Therefore, a flagship phone can be considered one by which the company rivals competitors or "challenges" them to do better.

2. The best phone on the market

Since every company can declare a phone to be Flagship, how do you make a comparison? Some believe that flagship phones are a smaller group of phones that stand out from the crowd. But what sets them apart?

Here again, we can discuss whether these are the phones that have the best specifications for that year? Or maybe they are the ones that have good specifications (in any case, one such phone cannot have bad hardware) but also the best options adapted to users that have not been seen or improved so far?

However, why was the Galaxy S7 a Flagship and the Galaxy S7 Edge not? It is obvious that the Edge version has some features that the classic version does not have (curved screen) and with that a slightly stronger battery.

3. Commercial Sustainability and Desirability

And if we look at the situation from another angle, the Flagship phone can also be the one in which the company has invested the most effort and money around media coverage and commercial sustainability. Yes, you can find a Chinese phone that has specifications like, say, the Galaxy S8 but the Galaxy S8 is a Flagship, everyone knows about it, and everyone wants it. Here, of course, the brand itself plays a role, and in this case, it is Samsung.

Also, the support of developers is the greatest for these phones. I always suggest people buy Flagship because their phone will last longer and will have better support, both for software and hardware.

4. Finally - what is a flagship phone?

After all this, we can define the Flagship phone as follows:

  • The best phone the company has to offer
  • It has (almost) the best specifications on the market
  • The best of the others in that price range
  • He has the most media attention
  • He has the biggest and strongest media campaign

The difference between Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid sleep options

What is the difference between regular Sleep mode and Hybrid sleep mode? And what is Hibernate ? I will try to explain in the simplest way possible so that everyone understands nicely. 1. Sleep When you select Sleep mode , all components of the computer except RAM are shut down to store data. So, if you do something on the computer and press Sleep, the computer shuts down and everything you did (left open windows, documents, etc.) is stored in RAM.

How to speed up folder opening [Win7]

I had a problem with the slow loading of folders on Win7, until recently. When I opened the folder, I waited for a while to read all the items from it. That green progress, at least upstairs, was filled with incredible slowness , which annoyed me. I searched a bit on the net, I concluded something myself and came up with a simple and effective solution. You will not need any program or complicated settings for this, everything is easy.

Use the zoom on the left to zoom in on the selected person and wait a few seconds for the image to focus. That image was taken by a 174-megapixel robot camera.
