Have you ever had the Google Play Store not working or downloading apps? Or did you get the message "Google Play Services has stopped"? Or maybe some error code, such as error 491, 492, 420, 944, 110…, etc.? There is a solution to each of these problems. In this article, I will write about the most common possible mistakes and how to solve them.
1. Google Play Services has stopped
Or Google Play Services has stopped working. It is solved, mostly, without major complications.
Method 1:
The first and easiest thing you can do is restart your phone. Turn it off and on again. I know, everyone will say this, and that goes without saying, but someone may have forgotten or just doesn't know.
Method 2:
Install the latest version from an external site, and the only one checked is Apkmirror (instructions for installing apk files). The error may simply be due to the Google Play Services application being out of date.
Method 3:
Clear the Cache of these two applications: Google Play Service and Google Services Framework. You can do this as follows:
- Phone settings > installed applications
- List ALL apps (only downloaded by default)
- Find the application you need
- Force close
- Clear cache
Method 4:
If nothing has helped so far, reset the phone to factory settings if it's Stock, or flash the same (or some more stable) ROM again. If your ROM does not have Google Apps, install the appropriate one recommended by the developer. More about the systems here.
2. The Google Play Store has shut down
Method 1:
Make sure the time and date are set correctly on the device. It is best to set it to update automatically from the network. Google servers often cause a problem if they can't find the correct weather information on the device, so it's always a good idea to keep the weather update "automatic".
Method 2:
Install the latest version of the Google Play Store from the Apkmirror site. Instructions for installing apk files can be found in method 2 for the first problem.
Method 3:
Clear Google Play Store Cache:
- Phone settings > installed applications
- List ALL apps (only downloaded by default)
- Find the application you need
- Force close
- Clear cache
Method 4:
Reset your Google Play account. This is a bit more drastic measure since you reset the whole phone, so save the data! Go to phone options and you'll see your Google Account under "Accounts". Remove it and add it again after the process is complete.
3. Gogole Play Error RPC:S-5:AEC-0, 491, 492, 920
If you get any of these errors, the solution is as follows:
Method 1:
- Phone settings > installed applications
- List ALL apps (only downloaded by default)
- Pronađite: Google Play store, service, the service framework
- Force close
- Clear data
Repeat this process for the listed applications.
Method 2:
Reset your Google Account. The procedure is the same as method 4 for the previous problem.
Method 3:
reset the phone to factory settings. This is the last option and if you have a built-in system, this is the only option left for you.
4. Google Play Error 944
This error usually occurs when there is a problem with Google's servers. Solution: try a little later, usually in a few seconds.
5. Google Play Error 941 / 927 / 504 / 495 / 413 / 406 / 110 / rh01 / rpc:aec:0
If a problem occurs when starting to download applications, you will usually get Error 495, 110, or some of the titles of this problem. These codes indicate different errors but have the same solution. To solve the problem, it is enough to assign a new Google ID for the device, which is not difficult:
- Phone settings > installed applications
- List ALL apps (only downloaded by default)
- Pronađite: Google Play store, service, the service framework
- Force close
- Clear data
If this doesn't work either, then you need to do method 4 for problem 2 in this article.
6. Google Play Error 919
A simple mistake to warn you that your phone does not have enough memory to install a new application. The solution is, obviously, to free up space in the phone.
7. Google Play Error 927
It's not a big deal if this happens, it usually occurs when you try to update/install the app while the Play Store is updating. The problem is resolved in most cases when the Play Store update is complete.
8. Google Play Error 481
One of the worst that can happen to you is that something has happened to your Google Account and you need to remove it. Once you remove it you need to sign up for a new one. Go to phone settings and then to "accounts" and remove the current one. When the process is complete, when you start the phone you will be asked to log in and enter data from another account that you will use.
Other problems
It is some of the more common problems I have personally encountered or complained about by readers of this blog. If you get a different error message, write in the comment and I will try to find a solution and respond.
