Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Advantages and disadvantages of a memory card in your phone

Advantages and disadvantages of a memory card in your phone

Not all mobile phones come with a memory card slot, and some find it very annoying. Even the most expensive and best phones that a company offers - Flagship - sometimes do not have that slot, although it is logical that they have it considering their price.

Some brands will release that slot in one generation of devices, then in the next, they will insert it, and so on in the circle (for example Samsung), some have only recently started inserting slots, and some have recently removed them from their devices. Do we even need a memory card in the phone? Many will think that we definitely need it, there are no flaws that would prevent us from using the card, but there are.

Therefore, in this article, I will present a few advantages and disadvantages to help you decide to buy a phone that does not have that slot.

Advantages:

  • Increases the memory capacity of your phone
  • You can take a cheaper phone model with less internal memory and then expand it cheaply
  • It is easy to change and upgrade
  • Great price range so everyone can take the one that suits them best
  • Internal memory can be relieved
  • If your phone is destroyed, you can remove the card and copy the data from it
  • You can easily transfer it to a new phone and all the files are there
  • You can give it to a friend to copy files quickly and easily
  • Used in most digital devices
  • and so on…

Disadvantages:

  • It is slower than internal memory
  • Some cards are not compatible with certain devices
  • The FAT format has its limits. NTFS is not supported by phones
  • Most phones do not allow you to move applications to the card
  • Newer Android systems can use the card as internal, but then it locks and you can use that card only on that phone
  • If you keep important data on the card and lose it, you can say goodbye to that data
  • In the place where the card could be, another, the perhaps more useful, chip could be placed
  • They have a limited number of entries/readings

These are mostly some major drawbacks that you need to know if you intend to buy a phone without a card slot. There are really a lot of advantages, but also disadvantages, and I can't even remember all of them at the moment. If you have decided to buy a certain phone that does not have a memory card slot and that is holding you back, these lists may help you make a decision. If you know some other advantages or disadvantages, feel free to write them in the comment below.

SIM card sizes (Mini, Micro, Nano) - explanation

Many users still complain about the size of SIM (subscriber identification module) cards. Which one goes on the phone? Can it be shortened? Can a smaller one into a larger slot? Although we are slowly switching to eSIM (more on this in this article ), we still use classic SIM cards. Newer phones usually require a Nano sizes, but operators issue SIM cards in all sizes. More precisely, now SIM cards are made so that the user can choose the size immediately, and later change it if necessary. More on that at the end of the article.
