Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

iGO navigation for Android 2018 (all resolutions)

iGO navigation for Android 2018 (all resolutions)

iGo navigation is still among the most popular, although we now have very good completely free navigation that works without the Internet (using only GPS), which I have already written about.

Briefly about iGO navigation for those who are not knowledgeable, or maybe looking for good navigation for their device: iGO navigation uses GPS in the phone to locate the device anywhere in the world (more on GPS location). For the user to know where he is, he needs a map where he will see his location. This application uses folders that are stored in the device itself so that they can be used without the Internet. In addition, iGO is popular navigation because it has many options such as route types, a simple interface with a lot of useful information, various user settings… but also support for POIs, buildings, raster maps, voices, languages… There is a lot of information that you can put on your phone and everything works without the internet, all you need is GPS (which every smartphone has today).

IMPORTANT: iGO is no longer such a popular internet navigation app. Now there are much better free alternatives! See the list of applications that have Offline navigation in Serbian and that work on all devices - LINK.

But if you still want to install iGo navigation on your Android device, here's how you can do it.

Disclaimer: iGo is not free navigation so I disclaim responsibility for the instructions that follow. I am not the owner of the material contained in the text. This text only serves to instruct you on how to install iGo navigation on your Android device, and you do everything at your own risk. I, and no one else, am not responsible for any damage and consequences to you, or your device, due to the use of tools and information from this text!

1. Download the content

iGo navigation usually comes in a package that contains a folder with folders, languages, POIs… and the .apk file of the application itself. And that .apk is probably cracked, so be careful.

This link contains in .zip format iGO navigation with maps for Serbia, Croatia, BiH, Montenegro (Q1 2018), Serbian language of navigation, Serbian and English language applications:

https://www2.zippyshare.com/v/ngCExTcE/file.html
https://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/YCSTXXIY/iGO.zip_links

or download only maps Q1 2018

Unzip the .zip archive somewhere and you will see one iGO folder.

2. Installation

Ok, now you need to transfer files and folders to your phone:

  1. Connect your phone to the computer somehow, e.g. via USB (I will use AirDroid)
  2. Transfer the entire "iGO" folder to the phone's internal memory - important! This iGO folder contains all the content, including the .apk file
  3. Enable unknown sources in your phone and install that .apk file - see how.
2. Installation

3. File structure

The most important thing for you is the "content" folder because it contains folders with content that you can change as needed. If you want to add new maps, waypoints, languages, etc. then you can do it like this:

  1. The "lang" folder contains files for the language of the application itself
  2. The "map" folder contains maps. They are currently inserted for the above-mentioned countries and are from the period of the first quarter of 2018. Here you can add custom folders that you find on the net (folders for iGO)
  3. The "poi" folder contains poi points of interest and currently exists for the already mentioned countries from the mentioned period.
  4. The voice folder also contains voices. So, those voices that tell you to slow down, turn around, etc. There is currently a vote for Serbian and a vote for English.

So, if you don't want to change anything, you can use the app right away. This third step only serves to explain how you can add files as you wish.

Then run the app and that's it.

Works for all resolutions! This version of the iGO application detects the screen resolution itself and creates a sys.txt file.

4. Problem-solving

Problem: global_cfg not found

If you get an error that contains the word "global_cfg", then rename the file "custom-sys.txt" to "sys.txt" in iGO and add:

[folders]
has_secondary_root = 0

Thanks, Nick Slaughter!

Problem: Unsupported voice

If you get the message "Unsupported voice", then only remove English from the "Voices" folder and leave only Serbian. If that doesn't work, try removing "Voice_srb-Nevena-1.1.64290-f1.zip".

Recommendation: instead of iGO navigation you can use much free offline navigation - Navigation without internet in Serbian.

Mobile Browsers

The Internet on mobile devices is becoming more popular and has more and more users. As mobile internet expands, so do mobile browsers. Although the devices themselves already have built-in basic internet browsers, new browsers are constantly appearing. The reason is that each of the programs brings something new and useful. For example, Opera Mini is most popular on older phone models that use Java applications, while on Android platforms Chrome , Firefox ,  Dolphin , and xScope are more represented.

How to ROOT a phone in 30 seconds

Recently, an application appeared that ROOTs some Android devices in a few seconds! You don't need Odin or anything else, just that app, and in a few seconds, your phone is rooted. An app called  ExynosAbuse can be found on the XDA forum, downloaded, and installed for free on your phone. After starting, all you have to do is press " Root device " and it will do its job in a few seconds. You don't even have to restart your phone, you will only be notified that the ROOT has passed successfully and you will see the SuperSu icon.

How to change IMEI number on Android phone?

IMEI is an abbreviation of "international mobile equipment identity" and each mobile phone should have a unique IMEI number. You cannot change this number with the operator, but you can temporarily change it on your device. It allows the operator to accurately identify your device and thus enable/disable network services. Also, you can use the possibility of changing the IMEI number, at least for a short time, if you know exactly what you want, but I leave those ideas to you because this is an educational article.
