Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

The best Android navigation without internet in Serbian

The best Android navigation without internet in Serbian

What is the best navigation without the internet in Serbian? Which one to choose for the trip? How does internet-free navigation work? I get these and similar questions regularly in the inbox of the site and via email. So I decided to write a new article on the subject: have the best Android navigation without the Internet in Serbian.

Navigation without the Internet with Serbian maps and voice guidance is what many people need at least once in their lives. This topic is especially relevant in the summer before the holiday.

I have personally tried many navigation apps on my Android devices and I want to share my experience here. I will definitely write which one I primarily use but also recommend some more alternatives as the tastes and needs are different.

Before you start looking at the list, I would like to mention that every application has at least one flaw in terms of support for the Serbian language and maps. So there is no right answer that is the best, it just depends on the person to person, ie. the need of the one who will use the navigation.

It is recommended that you be connected to WiFi because maps can take up a lot of memory. Once you download them, you won't have to for a while. In general, it is recommended that you update them at least four times a year, ie. quarterly.

You will need GPS to use Internet-free navigation. Almost every Android phone has a GPS module and even better if it also has support for GLONASS. What is GLONASS, and why it is desirable, read this article.

Navigation without internet in Serbian - list:

1. Google Maps

Google Maps is advancing day by day. Google introduces a lot of options regularly and integrates them even better with its other services. I use this application primarily for navigation either in the city or for further routes.

1. Google Maps

So far, she hasn't let me down, I've always found a good way, I've never gotten lost, and I've always had all the information about the environment at all times.

I have been using Google Maps for many years and regularly test all the news. I also regularly contribute to the community by adding ratings, pictures, missing places, and the like.

As for the language, of course, the application is also available in Serbian and has a Serbian menu and voice guidance. The voice guidance is quite ok, the robot voice is not artificial, but on a couple of occasions, she said the names of the streets a little weirder.

You have maps for free, all over the world, and you can download any part of the map offline and use it without the Internet.

Drag the item panel to the left of the app, select "Offline maps", add a new one, select a region, and tap "Download".

1. Google Maps

As you select the download region, you'll see below in small print how much memory your phone will take up. Keep this in mind if you download maps via the mobile network and if you have less space on your phone.

2. Here WeGo

For those who don't want to use Google Maps, my recommendation for an alternative is "Here WeGo" navigation.

2. Here WeGo

I wrote about her a long time ago as soon as she appeared, and since then she has undergone a lot of changes, and for the better (example). Now it has everything that a serious navigation application should have, and there is also navigation without the Internet in Serbian.

I also tested this application and I am very satisfied. The only reason I don't use it is that Google Maps is better integrated with the rest of Google services, and it's certainly pre-installed on the system.

To download Here maps for use without the Internet, drag the panel on the left and select "Download maps". Now choose where you want to download them (internal or SD memory), the continent, and finally the country. You can download the whole of Europe, for example, but pay attention to the file size!

2. Here WeGo

3. Sygic – GPS, Navigation & Maps

I haven't tested this application much, but it was suggested by fans on the Facebook page, so I decided to share it here.

3. Sygic – GPS, Navigation & Maps

I have heard that many in Serbia use it and are satisfied. The free period lasts 7 days and after that, you have to buy it if you want to continue using it.

It offers high-quality maps and many options, such as HUD, 3D maps, speeding warnings, avoiding crowds, AR navigation, etc.

4. Maps.Me

An application that used to be the most popular when it comes to navigation. It was paid but now it is available completely free of charge, and the emphasis has been on the offline mode.

4. Maps.Me

It has a nice user interface, integration with Street View, POIs, and relies on OpenStreetMap which means maps are always up to date. OSM is the most popular open-source alternative to Google Maps.

5. iGO Maps

This is the most famous navigation in our area. iGO has all the options you might need, but the only drawback is that you have to search for maps and insert them manually if you don't want to pay.

5. iGO Maps

Since I know that many do not know how to find the right maps and insert them, I wrote a detailed article about it - LINK.

At the same link, you can read a little more about iGO Navigation and why it is so popular. You can also download maps and the application itself.

Speccy - Get to know your computer in detail

The average user usually only knows what the CPU speed is, how much RAM it has, what the label is on the graphics card, and how much the HDD is… But he doesn't know some perhaps more important details. Speccy is a program that will reveal these details and you will have a complete insight into all the components that are inside your machine.

Look at historical objects in three dimensions

Google has launched a new Cultural Institute service where you can view some 3-dimensional historical objects on your computer in your favorite web browser. The items are detailed and you can enlarge them to see even the smallest parts. Of course, they are not perfect, there are some irregularities somewhere, but they were not noticed.
