How to unlock Samsung phone if you forgot your PIN, password…?

Last year I wrote an article on how to unlock any Android phone if you forgot your PIN, password, or Pattern… but this method only works if you have the "Find my device" application. I didn't have one, so I looked for another solution.

Luckily I have a Samsung phone because Samsung offers to unlock the device remotely! In fact, it offers locking, unlocking, locating, deleting, and backing up your phone over the internet, in a few clicks.

For this method to work, you will need:

  1. Internet access on the device from which you unlock the phone
  2. Internet access on the device you are unlocking
  3. Samsung account

So, this will only work if your phone is connected to the Internet (it doesn't matter if it's WiFi or mobile net) and if you've signed in to a Samsung account on your phone. You must have logged in to your Samsung account if you downloaded themes, images, or wallpapers from the Samsung Store, or used Samsung Health, or a third-party Samsung service.

Instruction:

You will first need to go to Samsung's phone search site - findmymobile.samsung.com

If you are not logged in to your Samsung account, you can do so right away on that page. If so, then continue with the instructions.

You will now see a large map, on the left side of your Samsung device, and on the right more details about the selected device.

In the right panel are all the options and information you need. Here's what you can do remotely:

  • Turn on the phone ring to find it in the house
  • Lock it in case you forgot your unlocked phone somewhere
  • Delete data
  • Back up data
  • View the last 50 messages and calls
  • Unlock the phone screen (what we need now)
  • Include a battery-saving plan
  • Set "Guardian" (locates phone, turns on alarm, activates emergency mode)

So, you click on the "Unlock" option. Padlock unlocked icon, you will easily notice the option.

You can check the phone now, you will see that the screen is turned on and unlocked. In the notifications panel, you will see a notification that the phone is unlocked.

Finally, go to the options and set something again to lock the screen, but this time remember the template, password, pin…
