Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Activate Night Mode in the Facebook Application Now!

Activate Night Mode in the Facebook Application Now!

Almost all popular mobile applications have night (night, dark) mode, only Facebook is not there yet. However, you can enable night mode in the Facebook application now!

This "trick" actually works with all the apps you have installed on your phone, and requires Android 10 or later.

Instruction

This option is hidden in the Android system, which means that you will not need any application or script to activate it.

Step 1: Developer options

You must first enable "Developer options" to access this option. To enable this hidden set of options, follow these steps:

  1. Open the phone settings
  2. Go to the "About" section
  3. Open Software Information (some phones don't have this step)
  4. Quickly tap "Build number" a dozen times
  5. Once you see the message "You are now a developer" you can stop tapping

Step 2: Dark Mode

Now go back to the phone settings (main screen) and go all the way down. You'll see a new item called "Developer Options" - enter here.

First, make sure that the entire Developer options screen is enabled. You'll see a switch at the top, so set it to "On" if it isn't already.

Now go down until you come across "Force Dark Mode" - enable it.

Note: Not all devices have the same location. If you can't find it, tap up on the magnifying glass and type "force dark" (without quotes).

Step 2: Dark Mode

Exit the settings and restart the phone. This step is not mandatory, but it happens that some applications do not switch to night mode completely, so it is better to restart the phone just in case.

Enter Facebook and you will see that night mode is enabled!

Here are some pictures of what night mode looks like in the Facebook app:

This way you have forced night mode in all the apps on your phone. If you want to choose which applications will have night mode and which will not, then you can install one such application. For this application, you will need a little more skill to use it without root, but you can follow the official instructions, which are not complicated.

SIM card sizes (Mini, Micro, Nano) - explanation

Many users still complain about the size of SIM (subscriber identification module) cards. Which one goes on the phone? Can it be shortened? Can a smaller one into a larger slot? Although we are slowly switching to eSIM (more on this in this article ), we still use classic SIM cards. Newer phones usually require a Nano sizes, but operators issue SIM cards in all sizes. More precisely, now SIM cards are made so that the user can choose the size immediately, and later change it if necessary. More on that at the end of the article.

The difference between Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid sleep options

What is the difference between regular Sleep mode and Hybrid sleep mode? And what is Hibernate ? I will try to explain in the simplest way possible so that everyone understands nicely. 1. Sleep When you select Sleep mode , all components of the computer except RAM are shut down to store data. So, if you do something on the computer and press Sleep, the computer shuts down and everything you did (left open windows, documents, etc.) is stored in RAM.
