Here's How You Can Blur Your House in Google Street View

Here's How You Can Blur Your House in Google Street View

Google Street View is really useful and has been around in Serbia for some time. By default, Google always blurs all vehicle plates and people's faces before publishing images. Still, someone might want his house not to be seen in Street View.

That's why Google has given users the option to ask their homes to be obscured by blurring - just as they do with vehicle faces and license plates.

For example, if you are worried about your safety, privacy, something in your house / around the house that you would not want others to see… etc. you can submit a request in a few steps and Google will blur your house.

Instruction

IMPORTANT: when Google blurs your house, it's forever, you can't give it back! So, think carefully about whether you really want it.

  1. Open the Google Maps site (easiest for you via computer)
  2. Find your house using the search and enter Street View mode

  5. Position the red rectangle so that it covers only your house
  6. Under the "Request blurring" category, select "My Home"
  7. In the field that appears, enter the reason why you want Google to confuse your house (eg you are concerned about your privacy and/or security)
  8. Enter your personal email and click "Submit"

When you do that, you will receive an automatic message on that email that your request is being processed. After a while, Google will answer whether or not they blurred your house.

If they refuse your request, they will ask you to describe in more detail the reason for the blurring of the house. In that case, just do what they write to you and send the request again.

The difference between Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid sleep options

What is the difference between regular Sleep mode and Hybrid sleep mode? And what is Hibernate ? I will try to explain in the simplest way possible so that everyone understands nicely. 1. Sleep When you select Sleep mode , all components of the computer except RAM are shut down to store data. So, if you do something on the computer and press Sleep, the computer shuts down and everything you did (left open windows, documents, etc.) is stored in RAM.
