SMS Trojan for Android

A Trojan for Android systems has appeared on the Internet, posing as the Firefox browser.

Malware disguised as Firefox is a version of the "Boxer" trojan that sends SMS messages from the phone on which it is installed to other numbers at the highest rate, the so-called Premium rate. So far, 3 APK files have been identified as malicious.

Trojan Boxer also appeared disguised in the "Instagram" application shortly after the publication of the legitimate version of the application.

Advice from security experts is to download apps for Android from legitimate sites such as the Google Play Store.
