We are aware of the risk we are exposed to when our computer is infected with a virus. As social networks have become commonplace in our lives, so have they become a major target of viruses.
Every computer should have an anti-virus installed to protect it, but what if a virus appears on a social network (in our case Facebook)?
These viruses are designed so that we share them ourselves without even being aware of them. The virus developer only needs to decode it and put it on the Internet, everything else is "done" by the users themselves.
Now, in order not to "hook" this type of virus, you must have some protection on your account. That job is taken over by BitDefender Safego.
This is a Facebook application that searches for infected posts, links ... on Facebook. When a friend of yours "hangs up" a virus, this application will show you which friend it is, which post it is, and which link. Of course, the app can't remove the virus, but it can alert you so you'll know you're not clicking on those links.
There is also an anti-virus of the same name which is officially the best-paid AV and you can download it from this link.
Using the BitDefender Safego application is extremely easy. When you go to the application, click "Allow" and you will be automatically redirected to the main page from where you can scan the profile.
You can see the "Start PC scan" button in the lower right corner. Clicking this button will start downloading the Chrome add-on. After the installation, a new button with the BitDefender logo will appear to the right of the address field, from where you can quickly scan your computer. This is free.
