Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

5x more internet traffic on your phone!

Are you a postpaid user? Do you have a limited number of megabytes, and spend them fast? Or do you, as a prepaid user, buy megabytes for a certain number of days but consume them quickly? There is a solution! And up to 5x more throughput for everyone, for all networks in the world! How? The answer comes in the form of mobile applications "Onavo Extend" and "Opera Max".

These applications work on a simple principle: a query that a user sends for a site first goes to the mobile operator, is forwarded to the server, and is returned to the user who sees the site in the browser as a result. These applications intercept all traffic, compress it, and return the compressed data to the user. This transfers much less data, thus saving megabytes.

5x more internet traffic on your phone!

All the user needs to do is install the app, allow the app to build a VPN on the device, and enjoy the extra megabytes. Applications run in the background and the user does not even have to configure them. With the Opera Max application, you need to choose which networks you want to save bandwidth on - WiFi and/or 3G (and 4G).

Also, the applications have statistics so that the user can see at any time how many megabytes he saved, on which applications, in what period, etc.

Note: Android will recognize Opera Max as a battery-intensive app, but that's not true. There is a detailed explanation for this - http://www.opera.com/help/max/android#battery

You can download Onavo Extend for Android 4.0+ and iOS devices -  http://www.onavo.com/

Opera Max is only available for Android - http://www.opera.com/mobile/max

The difference between Sleep, Hibernate and Hybrid sleep options

What is the difference between regular Sleep mode and Hybrid sleep mode? And what is Hibernate ? I will try to explain in the simplest way possible so that everyone understands nicely. 1. Sleep When you select Sleep mode , all components of the computer except RAM are shut down to store data. So, if you do something on the computer and press Sleep, the computer shuts down and everything you did (left open windows, documents, etc.) is stored in RAM.

[Google+] File sharing

The Google+ network brings with it a lot of new options and features that, as I noticed, users like. One of these new features is file sharing between users. Sharing takes place via chat and requires the approval of the file recipient.

Change the background in Blogger by clicking on the link

So, with the help of Jquery, we can create a very simple widget for blog visitors with which they can change the background. In the picture on the left, I took ordinary links as an example and only 3 colors, you can insert thumbnails and as many colors as you want. But you will need a little coding for that.

SIM card sizes (Mini, Micro, Nano) - explanation

Many users still complain about the size of SIM (subscriber identification module) cards. Which one goes on the phone? Can it be shortened? Can a smaller one into a larger slot? Although we are slowly switching to eSIM (more on this in this article ), we still use classic SIM cards. Newer phones usually require a Nano sizes, but operators issue SIM cards in all sizes. More precisely, now SIM cards are made so that the user can choose the size immediately, and later change it if necessary. More on that at the end of the article.

Google has recently added several new features to its maps, including Offline maps and turn-by-turn navigation. It was these two options that were missing so that Google Maps  that could be used as a standalone offline navigation app.
