Donate the processing power of your mobile phone to scientific research!

Dragan Varagić shared an article on his Facebook profile where an application was presented that uses the processing power of your mobile phone for scientific purposes. I really liked the whole idea so I decided to share it with the visitors of my blog.

The system is designed so that the application uses the hardware resources of your dying device to process some data. As a result, your device becomes part of a supercomputer for data processing. So, before you go to bed, turn on the phone on the charger, leave the WiFi turned on and when the battery is charged to 100% the application starts receiving the data being processed, and then the processed data is sent back.

The whole system is used for scientific purposes and all your data on the phone is safe!

The application also has a nicely designed alarm so that the data processing process will be completed when the alarm sounds. I was very impressed with the whole project, I fully support it and I immediately installed the application on my phone.
