See how Google mapped Venice

See how Google mapped Venice

Venice is the most famous city on the water and you must be wondering how Google managed to map that city with its car? Nicely, Google did not use the car as usual, but the "Trakker", which is otherwise used to map inaccessible parts of cities. And since Venice is a city on water and the only means of transportation are boats, I certainly can't use a car.

By the way, Trakker is a person who has this famous 3D camera on his back as if he were on the roof of a car. If you are interested in what that car looks like, you can take a look at this post - https://do-you-know-tech.blogspot.com/2013/10/when-can-we-expect-street-view-from.html

Google published a text on its blog about how they mapped Venice where you can find pictures, clips, and one interesting page dedicated only to that story.
