Google Maps is again number one on iTunes

It didn't take long for Google Maps to take first place among free iPhone apps.

The app returned to iTunes months after Apple decided to allow it to be downloaded and has already been downloaded 8,000 times in the first few hours of availability.

The new application offers all the features that were standard in the iOS version before, but now with a clearer look and feel. You can search for your destination by entering a query or saying it.

The application can work with specific addresses and names of business entities and various other names of interest.
