How to remove "Tickers" from Facebook

I came across statuses from friends on Facebook that annoyed them with "Tickers" and I googled a bit to find a solution - Facebook News Ticker Remover

One small add-on for the Chrome web browser will make Tickers on the right side of Facebook disappear.

You need to go to this link and click "Install" in the upper right corner. After a few seconds, the plugin will be installed and you just need to refresh the Facebook page (F5). That would be it.
