Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

The Galaxy Note was ridiculed when it appeared, and now…

Did you know that the first Samsung Galaxy Note was ridiculed by users and the media? Everyone laughed at his "huge" case and said that it would fall apart immediately after it appeared.

They said that it was too big and that such a phone would never be used every day.

Recommendation: interesting facts about Samsung (part 1, part 2)

To remind you, the Galaxy Note 1 had a 5.3-inch screen. This was considered huge at the time because all the best phones had much smaller screens. By comparison, the Galaxy S2 (flagship at the time) had a 4.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 4s had a 3.5-inch screen.

When you pick up the Note next to the Galaxy S2 it really looks huge, and people at the time weren’t looking for big screens like today.

In its review of this device, ZDNet wrote, among other things, "it will look a bit funny". In its review, Android Central wrote "more for show technology than for everyday use." Slashgear wrote, "[the phone is] too big to fit in your pocket."

These were just some of the negative comments about the new phone, which did not fit into the world of phones or the world of tablets. At that time, there was simply no interest in phablets.

Samsung has proven that everyone is wrong

Samsung has proven that everyone is wrong

Users soon saw the benefits of big screens and started paying a premium price for them. Samsung silenced all the media that ridiculed it after announcing that as many as that 10 million units had been sold in just 10 months. Of course, the number did not break any big records, but it is very big enough to show that everyone was wrong when they mocked Samsung.

A note was a turning point in the world of phones because it was from that moment that interest in big phones began. That moment affected all the other phones that followed - everyone wanted big screens on their phones.

All other manufacturers have started to gradually increase the screens in their phones. Even Apple eventually relented and began installing larger screens in its iPhones.

Of course, as time went on, we had smaller devices with bigger screens because the manufacturers managed to eliminate the frames around the screen. So today we have phones with big screens and small enough cases to fit in our pockets.

5.3 inches used to be considered huge, and now it's nothing compared to today's phones. The Note 10 Plus has a 6.8-inch screen, and the S20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch screen. This is true on the border with the tablet because devices with a 7+ inch screen are considered tablets.

All in all, Samsung made a bold move in 2011 and headed in a different direction. Were they wrong? Of course not! Note phones are the most popular among users today and we are happy to buy them when they appear.

Samsung is a real innovator, a company that creates something new, they are not like some other big companies that just steal innovations and declare their own.

If it weren't for Samsung, who knows what our phones would look like today and what we would be happy with.

New Google mobile internet saving application - Datally

I wrote an article on how to save internet traffic on an Android device and I suggested the Onavo Extend and Opera Max apps because they were the most popular back then. Meanwhile, Opera Max has been discontinued and Onavo has been completely redesigned and is now a VPN application with the option to save internet traffic. Their compression technology is probably now used by Facebook in its application because they bought Onavo - link . Google has decided to seize the opportunity and "push" with a new application called " Datally ".

SOPA and PIPA are slowly losing support, the protest yielded results

Controversial U.S. anti-piracy laws, known by the acronyms SOPA and PIPA lost the support of eight members of Congress after major protests by the Internet community. Support was denied, among others, by Marco Rubio of Florida, a rising star of the Republican Party, and his party colleague Roy Blunt of Missouri - who were among the signatories of the bills.

How to change IMEI number on Android phone?

IMEI is an abbreviation of "international mobile equipment identity" and each mobile phone should have a unique IMEI number. You cannot change this number with the operator, but you can temporarily change it on your device. It allows the operator to accurately identify your device and thus enable/disable network services. Also, you can use the possibility of changing the IMEI number, at least for a short time, if you know exactly what you want, but I leave those ideas to you because this is an educational article.

Google AI game recognizes and learns what you draw!

Artificial intelligence (AI) is quite popular nowadays and is being used more and more intensively. Google has, I can say, the most developed so far and is available to end-users (at least one part). We had a chance to see how it is integrated into the new Google Assistant that has replaced Google Now.
