Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

2016 Olympic Games - where to watch the online broadcast?

2016 Olympic Games - where to watch the online broadcast?

The 2016 Olympics are getting closer, the only question is where to watch the broadcast online? For all those who were not able to go to Rio, it remains to watch from home via TV or online. Since I don't watch TV, I'm always looking for an online alternative, even now.

The 2016 Olympic Games will be broadcast here, I guess, as always on RTS channels. If you don’t have a TV, or you aren’t able to be next to one at some point, you can watch online. How?

Option 1

Watch RTS over the internet. I don't believe it will be an official online stream, it would be great if it was, but there is an alternative:

The advantage is, of course, that the commentators speak in Serbian, unlike the other options I have listed here. The downside is that the stream might slow down someday.

You can find the list of TV stations that will broadcast Rio 2016 here, but the list is certainly not complete - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2016_Summer_Olympics_broadcasters

Option 2

Watch digital TV channels on Android devices. Fortunately, the digital signal has arrived in our country a lot, so we can catch it wherever we are. If you have a slightly better Android device, you can get a DVB-T2 receiver for it and catch TV channels, including cables where the broadcast of the Olympic Games will be broadcast, wherever you are! It's completely free.

And you can also watch the transmission online by phone using one application. I have already written about both methods, so take a look - https://do-you-know-tech.blogspot.com/2016/06/how-to-watch-home-tv-channels-on.html

Option 3

The official Youtube channel of the Olympic Games will, to my knowledge, have a live broadcast. You can also watch other accompanying content such as comments, day view, featured videos, etc. The disadvantage is that the content, of course, is not in Serbian, so those who do not know English will not be able to follow it completely. But the picture is there.

Option 4

LiveTV will broadcast live in Rio 2016 but you need to register. You can register on the site and follow the transfer when it starts. Here, too, the broadcast is not in Serbian.

Option 5

If you find an online broadcast on some foreign sites and it says that watching from your country is prohibited, try to log in with a VPN. There are several VPN options, and I have already written about them -  https://do-you-know-tech.blogspot.com/search/label/VPN

SIM card sizes (Mini, Micro, Nano) - explanation

Many users still complain about the size of SIM (subscriber identification module) cards. Which one goes on the phone? Can it be shortened? Can a smaller one into a larger slot? Although we are slowly switching to eSIM (more on this in this article ), we still use classic SIM cards. Newer phones usually require a Nano sizes, but operators issue SIM cards in all sizes. More precisely, now SIM cards are made so that the user can choose the size immediately, and later change it if necessary. More on that at the end of the article.

How to Decode a Mobile Phone

How to Decode a Mobile Phone? For many owners of new mobile phones that come with a subscription package from one of the mobile operators, this is an important issue. Many get the phone at a symbolic price of 1 dinar and do not intend to use it in the network in which they signed the contract . The problem is that such phones are always locked to the network they are from, and cannot be used in another network.
