Google Maps has been getting more and more new and useful information lately, which I have already written about here and here, and now there is another one - wheelchair access.
People with disabilities are often denied entry to a facility because there is no adequate wheelchair access. It is solved simply, but in Serbia, the mentality is such that the owners of the facilities have this problem somewhere in the sixteenth plan.
Google has decided to help by including a section in its Google Maps service that says whether an object has that access or not. And the information about that is given by the users themselves by a simple voting.
You may have noticed that when you visit a place, Google asks you to answer a couple of questions, including "Does this and that facility have access?". I always answer as many questions as possible because I know that it will be of great help to some, so I recommend the same to you.
This novelty is only slowly being introduced, so you will not see this information for all objects. However, you can certainly speed up the process by answering questions when they appear on your phone after visiting a facility.
