Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Google Assistant vs Siri (2016)

Google Assistant vs Siri (2016)

Both Google and Apple have done a great job when it comes to voice commands in smartphones. Google recently introduced a completely new version called  Google Assistant (formerly Google Now), and Apple kept the name, Siri. Which of these two assistants is better now? Just to remind you, Google Now has always beaten Siri so far, will that be the case now?

Renowned Youtube user  Marques Brownlee made a video demonstration of both voice assistants and compared them to make a video that will perform the tasks better.

I would divide the ratings into:

  • Extensive information
  • Handsfree
  • Speed

In the first category, in my opinion, Siri took away (or took away? She is a robot, so she has no gender, although she has a female voice and name) more points because she always asks for a little more information when asked. Sometimes stock charts or more detailed match results. However, Google Assistant provides more accurate information and utters it - which I will mention in the next category. So, in this category, Siri takes a little more points.

In the second category, Google Assistant takes a convincing victory. He likes to talk a lot with the user and read the answers, while Siri just says "Here are the results" and shows them. Google Assistant also has built-in artificial intelligence so you can have a conversation with it like any other person!

For example, if you ask "Who is the President of America" you get the answer "Barack Obama" and if you immediately ask "How tall is he?" Google Assistant will agree with that question. But if you try it with Siri, you won't get an answer to the second question, at least not in the form of a specific result, but in the form of Google (Bing) search results. So, if you are in the car or your hands are busy while, say, cooking, Google Assistant will be much more helpful than Siri.

And as for speed, they are equal. Sometimes Siri is faster, sometimes Google Assistant, but it’s about half a second or less. So I would put this category under a draw.

In the end, when we summarize the results, we come to the conclusion that Google Assistant won. Why? Because it has a built-in AI that is much more advanced than Siri's mechanism and helps a lot. So that you can engage in a conversation and talk as with any person, he can remember and quickly give concrete results that he reads. These are all features of an assistant that a smartphone should have.

To click on the post or not?

Recently, Facebook has been flooded with " click bait " posts, and sometimes you don't know if there is something really useful behind that post or if it's just collecting clicks. There is a plugin that can partially reveal this to you. Nothing special, it's a Chrome extension called " Photo Zoom ". What does he actually do? Enlarges the image you hover over by loading the source address of the image . How can it help? Clickbait posts often "trick" users into clicking with an image (in addition to terrible headlines). They place those pictures so that only a part of them is visible on the Facebook wall and just enough to interest your potential. If you want to see the whole thing, you have to click on the link, which is their goal.
