Here's what a VPN can't protect you from (but you need to use it)

The abbreviation " VPN " has slowly become established among average Internet users, which is certainly good, but the problem is that people have started to see VPN as the ultimate solution to all problems.

Raspberry Pi - credit card sized computer

Raspberry Pi - credit card sized computer

The Raspberry Pi has gained great popularity as the smallest computer and is also popular among hackers, developers, and people involved in robotics.

It is the size of a credit card and has HDMI output, power input, processor, RAM, GPIO, camera input, 2.0 USB ports, etc. More below.

What makes this computer stand out - is the price. You can buy Raspberry Pi (model B and B +) for $ 35, ie. that's its price, and now it depends on where you buy. It costs over 5,000 dinars with us, and you can find it on foreign sites for around 30 euros. So, for 30 euros, you have a functional computer the size of a credit card with an incredible number of possibilities.

RPI model B+

Hacking, programming, robotics…

As I wrote at the beginning, this computer is also suitable for hackers because it runs Python scripts, is small enough to hide anywhere, does not consume much electricity, has everything a computer should have, and of course, works with Linux .

Developers and people involved in robotics also use this computer because it has GPIO (pins) that can be controlled by Python scripts. And so I can, for example, make functional, remotely controlled, robots.

The possibilities are really huge. People make web servers, media centers, smart devices… You can see some better projects at the end of this text.

Model B and its more advanced brother Model B +

There is also a model A that no one buys anymore, model B is the most popular. But, the B + model has recently appeared, so now it is taking the lead. B + is a bit more advanced, has more GPIO, the layout of the inputs/outputs on the board has been slightly changed, microSD is used instead of SDcard, less electricity is used…

Add-ons make this computer even more powerful

As this is just a computer with several inputs/outputs, there are not many possibilities. The real power of this computer is given by the accessories that connect to it. Only 40 GPIOs (40 for model B + and 26 for model B) give this computer a lot of possibilities. You can also connect an LCD display, clock chip, camera… This computer comes with nothing, the computer itself in the box. But there is e.g. starter kit - packing with accessories to start with. It is mainly a case for Raspberry Pi, breadboard, various cables, heat sink, etc. Everything you need to get started.

Add-ons make this computer even more powerful

HDD? Where is the OS located?

This computer is so small that it makes no sense to put in an HDD because any HDD would be bigger than it. That's why he uses an SD card, ie. now MicroSD to host the system. I recommend 8GB class 10. Class 10 is more expensive but the speed is much higher, and as the card is used as an HDD, it is recommended to take it faster. The price is below 1,000 dinars.

What can I use this computer for?

Since it is powered by Linux, it can be used for anything: remote control, media center, home security monitoring, robotics, signaling, readings… On Youtube, there are video instructions for beginners, e.g. how to make LEDs blink, so for more advanced users. For starters, read all about this computer online, watch videos for beginners, come up with a project of your own, and buy a Raspberry Pi.

Where to buy Raspberry Pi?

I bought it on Aliexpress and it should arrive in 20 to 30 days (free shipping). I took it with some other supplements, so it cost me about 42 euros (about 5,000 dinars). With us, you can only find a computer, without any accessories, for a minimum of 5,500 dinars + delivery. If you want to go cheaper, read this article.

Google's Chrome browser crashed during the Pwn2Own competition. Yesterday, the first of three days of the competition was held. Mobile Browsers

The Internet on mobile devices is becoming more popular and has more and more users. As mobile internet expands, so do mobile browsers. Although the devices themselves already have built-in basic internet browsers, new browsers are constantly appearing. The reason is that each of the programs brings something new and useful. For example, Opera Mini is most popular on older phone models that use Java applications, while on Android platforms Chrome , Firefox ,  Dolphin , and xScope are more represented.

Nintendo server hacked!

Problems with hackers are no longer just PlayStation 3 exclusives. Nintendo confirmed yesterday that their Nintendo America server was hacked but that no information or data was compromised during the attack.

Sony Xperia Z5 Dual Sim review [video + images]

The Xperia Z5 is another great flagship model from the Z family of devices that Sony launched in September this year, about a month ago. The case design is great . The side edges are slightly curved to make the phone fit better in the hand, and the back of the device has a fine finish so there are no glare and fingerprints.
